How To Position A Premium Interior Design Studio
Premium is not a price decision. It is a decision about which projects you refuse and what you make legible.

Studios usually attempt to become premium by raising rates and improving photography. Both help, and neither is positioning. Positioning is the decision about who you are for, stated clearly enough that some people rule themselves out.
Choose the refusal first
What kind of project will you decline — budget band, timeline, scope, client behaviour? Until that is written down, every enquiry is a negotiation and the studio's average project drifts downward.
Make the difference legible
- Detailing standards you hold that others do not
- How material decisions are made and documented
- The design stages a client actually receives
- What is drawn, what is specified, what is supervised
Build the proof hierarchy
Order your evidence for a sceptical buyer: comparable project, process clarity, material specificity, and only then testimonials. Reversing the order makes a studio sound eager rather than established.
Premium positioning is mostly a set of things you have decided not to do.
